Evaluations

Prior to beginning services, Communication Therapies will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your child's speech, language, social, and literacy skills. Evaluations may include:

  • A review of case history / medical history

  • A parent and child interview

  • Informal observation

  • Formal standardized assessment

Once the evaluation process is complete, we will provide you with a written report that includes proposed goals, recommendations, and a follow-up phone call to discuss a plan for therapy.

Therapy

Our therapy sessions are fun, lively, and full of communication opportunities! Depending on your child's needs and interests, sessions may include activities such as:

  • Board games or interactive online games

  • Play-based scenarios

  • Book reading

  • Social interactions

Home practice tasks are provided on a weekly basis, and additional home programming may be provided upon request. We help caregivers incorporate therapy ideas into everyday routines!
